19 September, 2014

Alan Johnson MP has personally congratulated locally-based firm, First Hull Trains, on their successful ‘Investors in People’ reaccreditation.

Mr Johnson presented Managing Director, Will Dunnett, with the Investors in People award on Wednesday 17th September at the First Hull Trains’ offices in Hull.

The award is testimony to First Hull Trains’ on-going demonstration that they put people at the heart of their business and are committed to delivering the best possible experience for their passengers.

The company welcomed Mr Johnson MP to its offices to present the award, following its successful audit and reaccreditation.

Investors in People specialises in transforming business performance through people, something that Managing Director, Will Dunnett, is keen to emphasise.

Mr Dunnett explains: “I believe that we have some of the very best people in the industry at First Hull Trains and this reaccreditation is testament to their professionalism and the fantastic service they give to our customers. We’re always working hard at First Hull Trains to deliver the best possible journey experience for passengers. Tickets to London start from as little as £12.50 and can be bought online and printed at home. Plus, passengers can now access free 4G-enabled, single-sign up Wi-Fi – only on-board First Hull Trains.”

Over a third of First Hull Trains staff have worked for the company for more than ten years.

The company is experiencing year-on-year growth in revenue and passenger numbers and recently achieved 96% customer satisfaction ratings in a National Passenger Survey – 10% higher than any other long-distance train operator.
