Rollits praised in Chambers Law Guide
21 November, 2016

Leading Hull law firm Rollits, based at Citadel House in the Old Town, has been recommended as a leading Yorkshire law firm across eight practice areas in the latest Chambers UK Guide to Law Firms published last week.

The firm's legal expertise, strength in depth, sector experience and client service has been highlighted in the directory for its work in Corporate /M&A; Litigation; Employment; Real Estate; Banking & Finance; Private Client and Agriculture & Rural Affairs.

Furthermore, Rollits is one of only seven firms in the North East and Yorkshire to be recommended for Social Housing work. In addition to the eight areas of recommendation for the legal teams, nine of Rollits’ lawyers are recommended by the UK Guide as ‘Leaders in their Field’.

George Coyle and Ralph Gilbert are both acclaimed for their work in litigation.  Noted as an experienced litigator George Coyle is described as "very client-focused and very good at solving problems."   Managing Partner Ralph Gilbert is hailed as "very good, practical and pragmatic," while another source praises him as "a very technically strong litigator."

Within the corporate team, three Partners receive praise.  Steve Trynka is described in glowing terms as "intelligent, diligent and available when required." Commentators say that Richard Field offers "balanced and sound advice," and that Nasim Sharf adds value to corporate deals with his specialist knowledge of tax matters and he is praised for being "experienced and enthusiastic."

Neil Franklin is recommended for his work in the agricultural sector and is described by his peers as a "very talented property lawyer, a very nice chap and a pleasure to work with."

The guide recommends Employment head Donna Ingleby for her tribunal advocacy, and as an "excellent resource who gives clear advice, knows our practice well and provides a very responsive, personal service." Colleague Ed Jenneson is described as "extremely approachable" and "works hard to explain things in a straightforward way."

John Lane who heads the firm’s private capital department receives a top ranking for his work in the private client arena.

The guide is based on team submissions and independent research as well as client feedback.

Ralph Gilbert, Managing Partner at Rollits, said: “As we celebrate our 175th year in business we are really pleased with our strong performance in the 2017 Chambers and Partners guide as these rankings emphasise our continued delivery of legal knowledge combined with excellent client service.”

“It’s an honour for so many of our partners to be recommended as ‘Leaders in their Fields’ but these outcomes could not have been achieved without the efforts of the wider Rollits team. Their hard work and dedication throughout the past year is very much valued by the partnership.”
