Countdown to Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 Begins
08 May, 2010

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 runs from 15th - 21st November and is all about embracing innovation, imagination and creativity. It showcases enterprise; opening up new opportunities for young people across Hull, the UK and the world. This year schools and colleges from Rotherham, East Riding and Great Yarmouth will be joining in the activities in Hull.

Spearheading the push to get organisations involved is local company Force-7 who have been appointed to help promote activities during the week.

Force-7, which specialise in communicating with young people and attracting business support for young people’s projects and activities, have already developed a brochure to promote the week and are speaking with local businesses about involvement including raising sponsorship and sending delegates to events during the week.

Lucy Stabler, Account Director at Force-7, said:

"Whether you're in education, business, the public sector or the voluntary sector, everyone should get involved. It's about developing people's enterprise skills and helping them achieve their ambitions. I urge the city to get behind the week of activities and if any one wishes to get involved they should contact us now."

City Centre Manager Kathryn Shillito said that businesses who get involved could see benefits to their company: "As well as helping young people from the city develop in a positive way, business people who get involved with these enterprise activities often see new ways of doing things and fresh perspectives, as well as making new contacts."
