Improving Business

Our many and varied marketing initiatives are carefully thought out and measured to ensure maximum benefit to those businesses participating.

More importantly, we always look at the bigger picture, especially when it comes to our events...the volume of footfall that is generated, the car parks and hotels utilised, the spend in other city establishments and the positive perceptions with which visitors are left.

We actively encourage participation from our businesses to promote who they are and what they do, and help grow their customer base. We are now considered one of the city's key markets and event organisers, regularly commanding tens of thousands of visitors.

Our events are organised in-house, enabling us to keep costs down, maximise sponsorship, and ensure as much investment as possible goes into creating something unique.

Those wanting something to eat or drink 'on the go' are accommodated, or visitors can sit and savour delicious food in the dedicated picnic area after stocking up on their favourite fare.

High Street Safari Trail

The High Street Safari is a socially-distanced outdoor experience where families are tasked with hunting down 10 characters in the windows of selected city centre businesses, and scanning QR codes to learn their names and stories.

Hull had three trails in 2020 - MonsterHero Safari (raising money for the NHS), Halloween Monsters and Christmas Spirits - providing Covid-safe entertainment and encouraging customers back onto the city centre streets and visiting the businesses.
