Humber Business Week, which runs from 1-5 June 2015, is celebrating its 10th year with a bang. Bigger and better than ever, there are over 60 events to be enjoyed throughout the week.
Highlights include:
Monday 1 June - Tim Wigglesworth, Development Manager at estates solutions company Shared Agenda, who will talk about how the skills needed for his weekend job as a referee in rugby union’s Aviva Premiership cross over into the world of everyday business leadership.
Tuesday 2 June - Hull Born and Bred: Hosted by Hull College Group and Rollits, thie event will enable attendees to gain an insight from globally successful local businesses that can trace their roots in Hull.
Wednesday 3 June - Inspiring Women: Three very individual female speakers (Rosie Millard, Kath Lavery, Victoria Jackson) at an informal dinner that will entertain and inspire.
Thursday 4 June - Internationally renowned speakers, the Institute of Director’s Chief Economist and Director of Policy James Sproule, and Professor Chris Bovis from the University of Hull, discuss business growth and the opportunities for the Humber’s economy at the Humber LEP Forum, one of the leading business networking events in the region. Joining them will be LEP Chair Lord Haskins and LEP Business Development Board Chair Paul Sewell, of the Sewell Group, who will be launching the LEP’s Annual Review 2014-2015.
Friday 5 June - Arts and Culture in Business: This seminar, lunchtime concert and exhibition opening will show how arts and culture can be creatively used by business leaders as a marketing tool, as well as a means of creating an organisational culture which drives innovation.
Humber Business Week (Biz Week) showcases the wealth of talent, entrepreneurship, vision and future potential of our region through a diverse programme of events which both inspire and educate.
From high-profile keynote speakers, expos, conferences, workshops, tours, celebration receptions - and of course the odd networking breakfast and lunch - Europe’s longest established festival of business has grown year on year.
Essentially, Humber Business Week provides an opportunity for all companies – no matter how big or small - to acquire new knowledge, gain better understanding and insights into key developments and to improve their networks.
