Marco Pierre White will be visiting his Hull-based restaurant following the launch of a new menu.
Regarded by many as the greatest UK chef of all time, Pierre White will be popping in to his Steakhouse Bar & Grill at DoubleTree by Hilton, Hull on Tuesday 27th November where fans will be able to meet the original ‘enfant terrible’ and get signed copies of his book.
During the special dinner service, he will also be casting his expert eye on the new menu that combines traditional British dishes prepared using classic French cooking techniques making him one of the best-known chefs ever.
Agnieszka Sliwinska, restaurant manager at the Ferensway-based venue said: “It’s great that Marco is coming to visit so that our customers can meet him in person.
“He has a lot of charisma and is wonderful with the public so we’re really looking forward to welcoming here to Hull. He also likes to meet with the kitchen staff to impart his knowledge and find out how things are going.
“We’ve devised a special menu for the day which includes dishes from the new steakhouse menu and typifies Marco’s simple, classic philosophy of being in the business of feeding people well.
“Customers will also be treated to a glass of fizz while getting a copy of his book which they will be able to get signed. The staff are also really excited and will be pulling out all the stops to make this a fantastic night for everyone.
“There’s going to be a real buzz of excitement on the day and we’re expecting to sell out, so anyone interested should get in touch soon.”
Price for the event is £59 per person which includes a three-course dinner, glass of fizz, meet and greet with Marco and a signed book. There are two sittings on the day including 6.00pm to 8.00pm and 8.00pm to 10.00pm.
