Businesses are being invited to book their places at a networking event organised to launch Hull’s biggest Yum! Festival of Food, Drink and Music.
The festival will take place in Queen Victoria Square and King Edward Street, Hull, from Thursday 8 August until Saturday 10 August.
The launch event will begin at 9.30am on Thursday with a complimentary business breakfast. Guests will then be invited to preview attractions including the Yum! Emporium, which will feature a bustling market of food from producers across the region. They will also see preparations for the Main Dish, the stage which will be the centre of attraction with cookery demonstrations and live entertainment, and the Vegetable Patch, where children can enjoy themselves with face-painting, arts and crafts, decorating cupcakes and making fruit kebabs.
Michael Wood, the town crier of the East Riding of Yorkshire, will declare the festival open to the public at 10.30am. Kathryn Shillito, HullBID City Centre Manager, said: “This year’s Yum Festival will be bigger than ever and is all about generating more business in the city centre, so we are inviting businesses to a special breakfast preview.
