Think Employment is offering more one-week training courses that boost people’s chances of finding work.
Every month the Hull-based training provider will be delivering at least one Vacancy-led Skills Programme to people who are keen to improve their knowledge and skillset in specific sectors. However, in January, they are running not one, but two free courses...
Starting on Monday 21st January is a course for people interested in working in care, including a DBS check, which is often a minimum requirement for roles in this industry.
The following week, people can enrol on a hospitality training course and receive a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate that is sought after by employers in the sector.
Both courses have been designed to be the ideal starting point for anyone interested in either Care or Hospitality as a career.
The training is short, being only a week long, but delivers important skills and qualifications required for people who want a new career.
“Our aim is to help people upskill and find a job they want to do”, explained Think Employment’s spokesperson Helen Umpleby.
“In the last 12 months, we know that literally thousands of jobs in Care and Hospitality have been advertised in the Hull area - so we know the opportunities are out there.”
“What we do is equip people with the skills, knowledge and qualifications we know Care and Hospitality employers are looking for in their candidates.”
Think Employment delivers pre-employment training that meets the needs of adults (over the age of 19) across the whole of the North of England - not just Hull.
The training provider delivered over 2,400 nationally-recognised qualifications and helped more than 1,600 people improve their workplace skills in the last 12 months alone.
And, with even more Vacancy-led Skills Programmes on the horizon for 2019, it promises to be good news for jobseekers in Hull.
