City Group X is a boutique fitness experience located inside the K2 Tower on Bond Street. Having closed its doors for the lockdown, it has now reopened thanks to a variety of new measures that make it a safe space for the whole family.
Despite closing for four months, the team at City Group X remained dedicated to delivering premium customer service. Member payments were frozen as soon as the building became inaccessible and its fitness instructors immediately launched a series of free online workouts. Responding to the current economic climate, it now offers no-quibble membership packages from one to twelve months, as well as a pay-as-you-go option. This enables customers to use the facilities at their own pace whilst sticking to their ideal budget.
Rachael Duff is the Director of CGX: “The pinnacle of our success is not merely the quality in the concept and brand but also the quality of our caring, attentive and supportive staff. Our management team and motivational instructors have been working hard to prepare our fitness centre for post-lockdown life, ensuring that everything is Covid-compliant.”
The changes made to the modern gym include socially-distanced classes and equipment. Gym sessions need to be booked in advance to ensure a safe environment, which is further maintained by disinfecting spray fog machines that ensure the thorough cleaning of all equipment after every session. The studio is also spacious, bright and well-ventilated, further supporting the government’s agenda to get the nation fit and healthy in safe surroundings.
“Health and wellbeing is more important than ever now, particularly after the last few difficult months,” says Rachael. “Exercise not only improves your fitness and physical ability, it also plays a major role in mental wellbeing and generally helps you to feel better and more confident. We’re sure our brand new rooftop studio will also prove popular with anyone who wants to take part in a CGX class surrounded by fresh air and sunshine.”
With flexibility, inclusivity and safety at its core, City Group X believes that a personalised service is key and welcomes nervous newbies, fitness fanatics and everyone in between. With this in mind, the boutique studio will soon launch CGX Children and Teens Health and Fitness. Designed in partnership with international fitness brand Les Mills Born to Move™, the wide-ranging package is perfect for young people up to sixteen years old.
At the other end of the scale, CGX Seniors presents everything from chair aerobics to pilates and dance sessions. These specialised classes focus on increasing flexibility and strength through activities suited to the individual. Meanwhile, the studio can be hired for corporate workouts and children’s parties, making it the go-to fitness space for everyone.
“CGX is about so much more than keeping fit,” adds Rachael. “We present the opportunity to improve your mental health, build your self-esteem, increase your productivity at home and work, and be part of a friendly community that supports you every step of the way.”
