Hot on the heels of their recent success at local food and tourism award ceremonies, Hotham’s Gin School and Distillery has now been shortlisted in four categories at the prestigious White Rose Awards 2019.
The shortlist for the 2019 White Rose Awards has been revealed with 103 finalists in the running to win one of the highly coveted trophies.
The event, which celebrates the very best in food, drink, accommodation and visitor attractions in Yorkshire, will take place at the Leeds First Direct Arena on Monday 25 November. The glitzy award ceremony will feature top quality Yorkshire entertainment, including live music and a three-course meal jam packed with fresh and tasty Yorkshire produce.
There are 19 categories in total for 2019 with more winners getting the opportunity to progress through to the prestigious national awards run by Visit England. The winner of each category will be ranked as gold, with the two runners up being rated silver and bronze.
In 15 of the categories the entire top three will then be automatically entered in the Visit England Awards. Hotham’s Gin School and Distillery has been shortlisted for Experience of the Year, New Tourism Business Award, Producers and Makers Award, and Small Visitor Attraction of the Year.
Emma Kinton and Simon Pownall, directors and distillers at Hotham’s Ltd., found out about the shortlists last week. Simon said: “The White Rose Awards celebrate the very best of tourism in the whole of Yorkshire. To be shortlisted is a huge achievement in itself; to be shortlisted four times is phenomenal and we’re really proud of our products and of the top experience we bring to our customers every week. We’re so pleased to be recognised as a top attraction in the region alongside so many of the businesses we admire.”
