The Black and Whites are sponsoring the Hull FC Elf Trail, setting families the challenge of finding Santa’s elves hidden around the city centre shops.
Hull BID is backing the Elf Trail to help support city centre businesses with a package of events that kicks off this week with late-night shopping and the Christmas lights switch-on.
The Hull FC Elf Trail was unveiled at at the club shop in Savile Street by the Airlie Bird mascot, Elfred the Elf and Kathryn Shillito, Hull BID City Centre Manager.
The club will also be unwrapping their own Christmas gift on Sunday, when some star players will be at the shop before joining the lights switch-on ceremony in Queen Victoria Square on Sunday 21 November.
The Elf Trail gives families the chance to win prizes by using the special Elf Trail maps to track down 10 elves, answering a simple question about each elf and then posting the completed maps in the Christmas post boxes.
Every family that completes the trail will go into a draw to win one of 250 family tickets for Hull FC’s opening game of the 2011 Super League season at the KC Stadium.
"We’re delighted that Hull FC are supporting Hull BID and the city centre businesses by backing the Elf Trail and offering some fantastic prizes," said Kathryn.
"Our commitment across all our activities this year is to use local talent from the worlds of sport and entertainment to support local businesses and inject revenue into Hull’s economy."
