Andrew Oliver, a marine expert with law firm Andrew Jackson, will be presenting at a major off-shore conference, which brings together offshore wind professionals from across the North Sea region.
Organisers North Sea Offshore Wind invited shipping and transport partner Andrew to speak at its Hull and Humber event Mission to the Humber Estuary (21-23 October) where he will provide UK delegates with an update on the latest offshore marine health and safety issues, with a particular focus on practical advice on how to avoid prosecution.
Andrew said: “With the Humber estuary set to become the UK’s main offshore wind hub it is critical that those operating vessels in the renewable industry - whether crew transfer, accommodation or workboats - are aware of the plethora of HSE legislation of which they can potentially fall foul.
"My talk will also look at ways to limit exposure to investigation and prosecution and, importantly, ensure that levels of safety in the industry improve even further.”
Andrew’s presentation takes place on Wednesday 22 October at the Hallmark Hotel as part of the Workshop Programme session. For further details please visit www.northseaoffshorewind.com
