The 2016 Tech Nation report has been published showing that the digital sector in the UK is growing 32% faster than all others. The most comprehensive analysis of the UK’s digital tech industries to date, Tech Nation 2016 underlines the economic importance of digital tech businesses, with the number of businesses in Hull growing by 24% between 2010 and 2014.

Hull is once again featured as one of the UK's top digital clusters with the key findings being:

·         Digital employment: 6,070

·         Average salary in digital tech industries: £37,258

·         Digital GVA: £189 million

·         Digital density (digital businesses as % of total businesses): 16%

·         Key sectors (compared to UK): E-commerce; apps & software development; data management & analytics; hardware & devices

·         Benefits of commercial property, local networks and talent
