Hull Trains is celebrating its return on 21 August with discounted fares for couples and families, offering savings of 33% on direct rail travel to London.
For the first time in 137 days, Hull Trains will be running trains to London King’s Cross after services were temporarily suspended because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hull Trains will reintroduce a revised timetable which includes two services Southbound and Northbound on Monday to Saturday and three services Southbound and Northbound on a Sunday.
Louise Cheeseman said: “We’re making it easier for people to enjoy the summer holidays with friends and families by offering direct trains to London at discounted prices.
“Our new Duo and Family tickets give two people travelling together and families of up to six a chance to save a 1/3 on rail fares.
“London is one of Europe’s greenest cities with fantastic parks, stunning gardens and tourist attractions. Many people won’t be travelling abroad this year, so it’s the perfect time to rediscover the nation’s capital and enjoy quality time with loved ones.
“It’s easy to travel safely by train; booking ahead on our website allows us to set out socially distanced seats and we have a dedicated cleaner onboard every service. People should wear face coverings when travelling with us.
“The standard of cleanliness on our brand-new trains is already second-to-none and we are exceeding hygiene practices further on every journey.
“We’re really excited to be back on track offering people a greater choice of day trips and weekends away thanks to our new Duo and Family tickets.”
These discounted tickets are only available to book direct with Hull Trains to secure the full discounted rate.
