Oresome Gallery and Jewellery Workshop is celebrating its 3rd birthday in Hulls creative quarter on Humber street on Sunday 20th July.
Oresome started its journey in 2011 and was among one of the first businesses on Humber Street. Three years on and a whole host of other businesses have sprung up along the street , creating a hub of artistic activity.
Oresome business partners Nicola Fidell Chapman and Victoria Prince run the gallery. Both business partners are highly skilled and experienced in the medium of jewellery with over 45 years experience between them. One of the unique aspects about Oresome is that it has a professional workshop area that Nicola and Victoria use on a daily basis to create their own work as well as one off commissions, re models and repairs. They also teach classes and rent benches for those with prior knowledge and skills.
Victoria Prince – Business Partner and Jeweller at Oresome, said: “We are a very different concept to any of the high street jewellers as we provide a wide range of services. From designing and creating our own unique jewellery ranges to one off commission and repairs, as well as teaching jewellery courses so people are able to gain an insight into making a piece of jewellery.”
Oresome is situated in the heart of Hull’s creative quarter with spectacular views of the marina, it is hard to believe that you are in the heart of the city.
Nicola Fidell Chapman, said: ”We have been honoured to undertake a wide range of commissions and in 2013 we were selected to design and make the High Stewards chain of office which was a great privilege and the fact that it was designed and made within Hull has even greater significance.”
