September is full of fun-filled play for children at two local primary schools and a pre-school, thanks to a helping hand from Princes Quay Shopping Centre and Metalon UK.
Following a successful Indoor Beach promotion at the Quay over the summer holidays, which saw over 2,000 children enjoy free play, excess sand was donated to Springhead Primary School, Anlaby Acre Head Primary School and Anlaby Pre School.
Claire Suggitt, Princes Quay Shopping Centre Manager, commented: "I was delighted to visit the schools and pre-school to deliver the sand. The look on the children's faces when we arrived with additional sand supplies for their outdoor play areas was priceless.
"We were greeted by very grateful Head Teachers, staff and children which was a lovely experience."
Metalon UK Owner Taj Saund, said: "Having built the Indoor Beach for Princes Quay and witnessing so many children enjoying it, we jumped at the opportunity to help transport the sand to the schools. It's great that it has been used to help local schools in the area."
