Over 80 retailers and exhibitors teamed up together to offer discounts, freebies and entertainment at the largest shopping centre in Hull last week.
Hosted by Luke Chambers, aka Nineties Boy, Students from across Hull came to experience Student Fest 2014 at Princes Quay.
Working closely with Hull University and Hull College Student Union groups on the planning and promotion, thousands of students enjoyed the evening and in particular the two live stages supported by Sugar Mill DJs, with a memorable performance from local talented band Young Jack.
Hull City players attended to promote the launch of their third kit and Hull FC players and mascot joined the students in participating in the Harbour Deck entertainment of a giant surf board simulator, inflatable bowling lane, interactive wi-fi Connexin challenge zone and bungee run.
Princes Quay Centre Manager Claire Suggitt, said: “It was great to see so many retailers and external organisations taking part in the event. Our event offered much more than just Student discounts, it was an experiential opportunity for students to become part of.”
She added: “Being able to give away over 1,000 Princes Quay goody bags on the day and over 100 free cinema tickets was certainly a highlight of the event.
"The Creative and Cultural team designed a fantastic Halloween Scare Vault within their unit which that had hundreds of students entertained throughout the night. It’s an event that will improve and we’ll build on year on year.”
