Trinity Festival 2015 starts with a bang and ends with The Beat. The event, which is compèred by Nineties Boy and takes place in Trinity Square from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, brings live music performances to Hull’s old town. The free festival is dedicated to Hull’s emerging music scene; we celebrate the ‘Hull Sound’ whilst providing a platform for the region’s most exciting musicians, as well as inviting two national headliners to play the main stage on Saturday and Sunday night.

Late ‘70s band The Beat will get everyone dancing on Sunday evening. One of the biggest bands of the 2-Tone movement, The Beat presents a wall of sound that transcends time and ska fusion rhythms to ignite a crowd. They play with the sole aim of connecting with and entertaining their appreciative audience with their relentless energy and world class musicianship. The Beat is known for a string of hit singles, including Mirror in the Bathroom, Too Nice To Talk To, Can't Get Used To Losing You, Hands off She's Mine and All Out To Get You. Their songs of peace, love and unity fuse ska, pop, reggae and punk rock and their dynamic live show has garnered them a loyal following. The 2015 line-up features Ranking Roger and Ranking Junior on vocals.

Eliza and the Bear is an upcoming indie rock band, which is sure to appeal to everyone, when they take to the stage on Saturday evening. They put a high premium on rousing indie entertainment, and never disappoint. They have already rocked Leeds and Reading stages this year, so Trinity Festival is the logical next step for this vibrant five-piece from London.

Holy Trinity Church will benefit from an Almighty Fundraiser featuring Mighty and the Moon, Ramble Gamble, Yasmin Coe and Fudgey on Friday night. Tickets cost £5 and are available from www.trinityfestival.co.uk and Eventbrite.

Twelve venues across the city centre will be hosting live music as part of the festival weekend.
