Rollits LLP has enhanced its credentials as a leading regional law firm, with eight senior lawyers being recognised as ‘Leaders in their Field’ according to the latest edition of the independent ‘Bible of the Legal Profession’ Chambers and Partners – the definitive guide to law firms in the UK.
The firm, which also has an office in York, was also praised for the depth and variety of services it offers to clients and received rankings in eight different practice areas within the publication.
For more than twenty years, Chambers has published their directory of the legal profession identifying the leading lawyers and law firms in the UK. It is compiled following detailed research over a six month period, and ranks law firms and lawyers within 70 legal specialist areas.
Among those recognised, the following Partners have been singled out as “leaders in their field”:
John Lane who heads the firm’s private capital department receives a top ranking for his work in the private client arena in the North East and Yorkshire.
George Coyle and Ralph Gilbert were both acclaimed for their work in litigation. Noted as key individuals, Chambers states “George Coyle is held in high regard for his general commercial litigation expertise. He advocates and advises in a range of warranty, contract, product liability, shareholder and partnership disputes.” and “Ralph Gilbert’s broad commercial litigation expertise encompasses corporate recovery and complex property disputes. He is also often instructed in insolvency claims on behalf of creditors, debtors and practitioners.”
Within the corporate team, three Partners receive nominations. Steve Trynka is described in glowing terms as "always an asset around the negotiating table" and "extremely knowledgeable." Neil Franklin is recommended for his work in the agricultural sector where he “enjoys an excellent reputation in the field. Sources describe him as "technically good" and "very personable and knowledgeable." Another client reports: "We found him to be very thorough – he gives good advice." Rollits has a large agricultural team which covers the full range of contentious and non-contentious agriculture matters and are described by clients as "Commercially very aware, the lawyers cut through the issues and give good advice."
