St Stephen’s welcomes students to Hull with the best student-only night in the region this autumn!

St Stephen’s, Hull most stylish retail and leisure destination, is all set to stage the region’s biggest ever student event to welcome this year’s students. The fun-filled evening will be filled with music from the city’s top DJ’s, games, entertainment and loads of free special offers from St Stephen’s on-trend stores.

The event also aims to make it easy for students to get to know the city’s banks, taxi firms, sports clubs and other essential services that they’ll need throughout their student years. Dozens of key organisations and services including night clubs, restaurants, local venues, radio stations and more will be in St Stephen’s High Street to greet the city’s new residents.

The Student Invasion, which has been a massive hit in previous years, will feature music and entertainment from Viking FM DJ’s, competitions and exclusive retailer discounts from 6pm on October 8th. Many of St Stephen’s retailers are offering big discounts of up to 30% exclusive to the Student Invasion.

The Student Invasion is open to all students across the city and free to attend.

Jim Harris, Centre Manager, explained: “The aptly named Student Invasion intends to welcome thousands of Hull’s new students as well as celebrate the return of current students from Hull University, Hull College, East Riding College, Wyke, Wilberforce and Bishop Burton.

“Hull has well over 20,000 students so they are a hugely important part of the local economy. We want them to love every minute of their time in Hull and so the Student Invasion is our way of welcoming them to the City and helping them to get to know where things are.

This event has been a huge success in previous years and I hope that the students will turn out in force again this year to enjoy the atmosphere and grab a bargain with the one-night-only special offers we will have around the centre.”
