Hull businesses required to close in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors are being urged to apply for a one-off grant worth up to £9,000 to help see them through the latest Covid-19 measures.

Businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors are to receive a one-off grant worth up to £9,000, the Chancellor has announced.

You may already be aware of the £1,000 grant for wet-led pubs in tiers 2 and 3 but the link - taken from the Gov.uk website – may be helpful.

The first payments are now being made under a new fund designed to help Hull businesses through coronavirus.

Businesses that have been adversely affected by national lockdown restrictions, but which are not required to close, can now apply for financial support.

Businesses forced to close during lockdown can now apply for support grants from Hull City Council.

The Humber LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) will be holding their AGM 2020 this Friday, 13^th November from 10am-11am and you are invited to join the online meeting.

As announced, the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme – also known as the Furlough Scheme - has been extended and remains open until 31 March 2021.
